Dr. OMAR ELESSEILY - Chiropractor

Dr. Omar Elesseily attended Simon Fraser University majoring
in Kiniesiology. He completed his Chiropractic studies at Palmer College of
Chiropractic, where he worked in the microbiology department as a teachers
assistant. After completing his schooling, he continued working in San
Francisco, CA and established himself in one of the top rehabilitation clinics
in the Bay Area.
It is here that he concentrated his studies on chiropractic
neurology and had the opportunity to work with a team of professionals
including neurologists and orthopedic surgeons who looked after the San
Francisco 49ers, as well as other top professional teams in the area. |

Dr. Omar returned to Vancouver, BC to open StudioHealth
-ChiroWorks - in the westside of Vancouver. It's goal was to provide an
exceptional level of service matched with professional care by a team of
exclusively selected practitioners who excel in their disciplines. Dr. Omar has
steadily built an abundant and loyal clientele through his progressive
treatment protocols and unmatched patient care. Dr. Omar interests include
martial arts, cooking and traveling. |
Dr. DOREEN MAH - Doctor of Traditional Chinese Medicine

Dr. Doreen has been practicing Traditional Chinese Medicine
(TCM) and Acupuncture with the Studiohealth-Chiroworks team since it opened in
2003. She graduated from the International College of TCM Vancouver after
completing her practicum studies in China. Outside of work Dr. Doreen is an
avid member of the volleyball community. She also enjoys snowboarding and
playing music (piano, flute, gu zheng.) |

KELSEY JACKSON - Registered Acupuncturist / Traditional Chinese
Medicine Diploma

Kelsey graduated from the Canadian College of Acupuncture
and Oriental Medicine with a Diploma in Traditional Chinese Medicine in 2006.
Upon completing the program she spent a year working in a world-class wellness
centre located in Whistler, BC. During this year she treated athletes and
travellers from all over the world and gained valuable knowledge and experience
in treating both sports related issues and general health concerns.
Prior to beginning the Chinese Medicine program in Victoria,
BC where she was born and raised, she spent many years travelling the world.
She took various massage courses in Australia, Thailand, and the UK, and it was
during this time that she became interested in eastern medicine. |

In her practice she combines acupuncture, diet therapy, cupping,
and Tui na (Chinese medical massage), to help her patients to achieve their
ultimate health goals. Although she has experience in treating many different
ailments, her specific areas of interest include: musculoskeletal disorders,
pain management, anxiety, depression, and sports injuries. Outside of work,
Kelsey's interests include snowboarding, mountain biking, hiking, and trying to
master the game of chess.
RICK BRAUN - Registered Massage Therapy

Rick has been a Registered Massage Therapist since 1997. He
has taken his training at the West Coast College of Massage Therapy in
Vancouver, BC, and has also taken more training in Whistler, BC, Sedona
Arizona, and on the island of Kuaui, Hawaii. Some of the techniques which Rick
has advanced training in include: Myofascial Release, Craniosacral Techniques,
Women's Health, & Sports Therapy. Rick spent his first 5 years working in
Whistler, BC, at a world class spa and and a Sports Therapy Clinic. Rick is
especially passionate about being a part of the Dunbar community and has been
treating patients at StudioHealth - ChiroWorks since 2004. Outside of work,
Rick is an accomplished snowboarder, & mountain biker. He also loves
climbing, playing hockey, & cooking. |

BEN NGUI - Registered Massage Therapy
|
Ben Ngui graduated from the West Coast College of Massage
Therapy and registered with the CMTBC in 2002. He then went on to University
College of Fraser Valley majoring in Kinesiology. Over the years he has worked
in both clinical and spa settings and now limits his practice to StudioHealth -
ChiroWorks. On occasion Ben works with the dance company Groove Street
Productions providing massage therapy at their touring dance conventions for
the dancers and faculty.
At present Bens main focus is teaching and educating.
He is currently a lead instructor and clinical supervisor at Utopia Academy
where he is developing curricula and instructing various courses including
orthopedics, athletic treatment, manual skills and many others. In addition, he
is also a part time instructor at the Vancouver School of Bodywork and Massage
teaching Deep Tissue Massage. |

Much of Bens massage experience is derived from his
background in dance. He is a retired performer and dancer having been involved
in many international and local productions. Some of his highlighted
performance credits include the 2006 Winter Olympics in Torino, Italy, the
Guangdong International Tourism Festival in China, the musical productions of
Miss Saigon and Disneys Beauty and The Beast for the Vancouver Arts Club
Theatre Company and several other shows for the PNE fair. Bens background
in dance and massage therapy has created his own unique style approach to
treatment, fusing integral aspects of rehabilitative healing and holistic
integration.
Ben has been with StudioHealth - ChiroWorks family since 2005.
JENNIFER WICK - Registered Massage Therapist

Jennifer Wick has been practicing massage therapy since 2001
graduating from West Coast College of Massage Therapy. In 2003 she returned to
W.C.C.M.T. as a clinic supervisor/instructor for 3 years. Jennifer has many
years experience treating various conditions from pre/post natal to elite and
armchair athletes alike. Out side massage, Jennifer is an active fitness
instructor teaching 4-6 aerobics classes and week and is also a full time
mommy. She enjoys cooking, wine, getting out in the sun, doing Bikrams
yoga and going to Vancouver Canucks games. Jennifer believes life is consists
of a fine balance between work, fun and family! |

LINDSEY AIL - Registered Massage Therapist

Lindsey Ail graduated from the West Coast College of Massage
Therapy in Victoria, B.C. in 2005. After receiving her diploma, Lindsey spent 6
months backpacking throughout Europe, gaining a deeper appreciation for the
world and people around her. Upon her return to Canada, Lindsey joined a
world-renowned spa in Whistler, B.C. treating a variety of athletes from novice
skiers and boarders to seasoned pros. Lindsey has since worked in other busy,
multidisciplinary clinics strongly focusing on treating injuries generated by
office workers, health care workers, and motor vehicle accidents. In her spare
time Lindsey takes pleasure in skiing local slopes, dancing like a fool,
traveling the world, taking yoga classes, and any other activities that connect
her with nature. She combines her passion of caring for individuals and their
unique experiences with pain or their aspiration for better health, with a
desire to learn and grow as a therapist and shares this with the clients of
StudioHealth - ChiroWorks. |

LISA LAFLEUR - Registered Massage Therapist

Lisa graduated from the West Coast College of Massage
Therapy in 1997. Since graduating she's enjoyed working within a number of
different settings such as at massage clinics, heli-ski lodges, and a winter
with the Canadian Cross Country Ski team.
Lisa has also recently completed a Bachelors of Nursing
degree and works part-time as a maternity nurse. She is interested in working
with prenatal and postnatal clientele in the massage setting. Lisa is very
excited to be working at Studio Health with such a qualified and professional
multidisciplinary team and believes that patients who utilize a variety of
modalities achieve better outcomes. |

HARRIS FISHER - Registered Practitioner of Traditional Chinese
Medicine

Harris graduated from the Canadian College of Acupuncture
and Oriental Medicine in Victoria with a Doctor of Traditional Chinese
Medicine. Since then he has completed advanced study and internships with
doctors of TCM in Victoria, Whitehorse, as well as in hospitals in China.
Harris continues to add to his knowledge base with courses in pain management,
stress management, endocrinology and fertility. Harris most recent
clinical experience has been in the fields of womens health, fertility
and mens health at the Elements of Health Centre in Victoria, BC.
Stemming from his prior university degree in religion and
philosophy at the University of Calgary, Harris has a strong affinity for the
classical knowledge within TCM. Harris works from the fundamental principle
inherent within TCM: balance. When the human body is in balance all of its
systems operate in synergistic harmony. In working towards this treatment goal,
Harris utilizes the many modalities of Traditional Chinese Medicine: Chinese
herbal medicine, acupuncture, cupping, Tui Na therapeutic massage, and diet
therapy.
Harris balances his clinical practice with a passion for the
outdoors. Whether on bike, board, boat or on foot, Harris enjoys all the
aspects our beautiful west coast has to offer. |
